It's been months since I listen to TED. There are too many interesting things to listen to and watch during driving. Nowadays, I listened to YOUTUBE which is about English movie dictations. I finished About time and Intern. But the Intern was not as good as I expected. It may be because I've become so used to it that I've lost interest in it. So, I moved back to TED listening which is more interesting even though it is hard to understand sometimes.
Today's pick was by Jane Goodall. When I heard the name, I felt like I had heard it somewhere. It was from Chaewoo's book. I remember she grew up in nature and became a scientist who takes care of chimpanzees. In the TED she says "There are hundreds, thousands of children growing up in inner cities, where there basically isn't any nature." It is true that we are living in a city made of concrete. When I see Chaewoo and Chaewon laugh under the tree and swim, I see real children. The change of life is too fast that I cannot follow how they grow up. They may develop children's brains, but they cannot develop their spirit.
Do raise your children who know how nature is precious to them and how to live with it.
