string 나누기 (Splitting strings)

string은 리스트로 분류될 수 있으며 split을 이용하면 원하는 문자를 이용하여 분리가 가능하다. 

 

test = "this is a test"
result = test.split("t")
print(result)
['', 'his is a ', 'es', '']
 
test1 = "this has a lot of spaces and tabs"
result1 = test1.split()
print(result1)
['this', 'has', 'a', 'lot', 'of', 'spaces', 'and', 'tabs']

join을 이용하면 string을 합칠 수 있다. 

listOfStrings = ['a','b','c']
results = "**".join(listOfStrings)
print(results)
a**b**c
